Young Ben Biography
Young Ben Franklin is a teacher, rapper, and resurrected Demi-God. After being brought back to life in a laboratory - thanks to impossible science - Franklin was abandoned by the scientists and forced to make his own way in modern Philadelphia. He found his hustle giving historical walking tours in Philadelphia; and eventually, he became a high school teacher in the city. As he became accustomed to Modern America, he began to be increasingly concerned about the state of American politics and society. So, he decided to educate America about its REAL history through his humor and through hip-hop - a skill he picked up working with his students. He produced an album dedicated to telling the story of his life, which in turn, shaped the very identity of the American Spirit.
Seeing the impact that “Hamilton: The Musical” had on American culture, he knew he could begin a much needed discussion on American Civics. In this way, he hopes to bring about real change. Plus, he was pissed that he wasn’t mentioned in the Broadway musical, so there is a little vanity at play...
The Album Explained
B. Franklin: Corrected and Amended is a Hip-Hopera that follows the life of Benjamin Franklin, from ambitious prodigal dreamer to wizened sage, through his perspective of the events that unfolded. Throughout the is a reoccurring theme of his creation of a “Demi-God” image which will cause him to be 2worshipped by future generations. It captures the many dimensions of his character – from rebellious and arrogant to witty and satirical to reflective and philosophical. It is based off of Ben Franklin’s Autobiography, with additional material stemming from countless hours of research. The album is divided into 2 parts separating at the point of his retirement from business at the age of 42 – the halfway mark of his life. Each part is subsequently divided into two volumes, with each volume following along a theme. It is an album absolutely worth listening to. The music is excellent and the story is unparalleled in our history.
