“In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall

enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial

by an impartial jury of the State and the district wherein 

the crime was committed …” (within the district in which it was committed in), 

“… which the district shall have been previously ascertained 

by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusa-

-tion; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; 

to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his

Favor; and to have the Assistance of Counsel for his defence.”

Can’t have another Spanish Inquisition on our hands!

You accuse me of a crime, I better see your face

And hear you say I did it at the place on the court date

I have a right to defend my case, call my own people

To ensure that justice is delivered in a manner equal

And visible to the people to see the scales aren’t tilted
