The Conclusion

Lyrics

So check it,

I’m bout to let loose in this Bill of Rights conclusion

a minute to wreck shit, disprove the delusions, reduce confusion

The truth of this union and, the proof’s in the pudding

Is if you scrutinize, look through it, you’ll see it’s an illusion

I’m alluding that the Constitution’s base on obsession

Of the Revolution pretending we were victims of oppression

We knew the lessons of oppressors because we were invested in em

Tyrannical privilege profiting from white supremacism.

Wait is it -cism? Or is it supremacy?

Whatever the Fact is us white men benefited from greed

And we’d been bending any law to feed our need

This is the inhumanity of our white man legacy

Throughout history we scream bigotry through free-

dom of speech, If men marry men then we scream “Devilry!”

Hell bent to keep guns to keep the races in check

And then we get police to apply pressure to their neck

It’s sick and disgusting that we haven’t evolved and

We keep pretending that we aren’t involved in

The biggest scam in history, because lest we forget

Democratic values are dead when you reject elections

Pretending to protect rights, when it works for them.

But when they don’t like it? Treason and Insurrection.
We need to amend the mindset

Analysis

The Bill of Rights protected White Supremacy.

Throughout American history, there is recorded incident after recorded incident of White Americans - specifically men -  imposing violence and murder on minority populations. And they have used the Bill of Rights as their shield to rationalize their crimes.

I am saying this as a White man who is proud of his country’s accomplishments. But as a White man, I am also simultaneously ashamed of my country’s wickedness.

I recognize the value of the Bill of Rights. It established that human rights would not be overruled by the government put in place. It became a precursor to every modern republic. I will never deny the importance of the Bill of Rights nor will I deny the importance of the Rights which it protects.

But wake up.

The Bill of Rights empowered citizens against government oppression, but it also empowered White citizens to COMMIT civic oppression in order to maintain our power. We have always manipulated these principles without fear of government response since we would call it “oppression”. The Bill of Rights empowered individual citizens to maintain oppression.

We cited the 4th Amendment and the 10th Amendment to defend the institution of slavery because the government cannot take our “property” and that the states should decide whether to keep people in chains.

We used the 2nd Amendment to defend our ability to access guns without any restrictions or regulation from the government - including Common Sense laws which would ensure that those who have access do not have mental health issues which could lead to massive harm.

We have used the 1st Amendment to defend our right to continue to amplify bigotry, lies and manipulation through hate speech, corrupt news outlets, and religious prejudice.

Our rights should be revered as they are paramount to a healthy republic. We need to protect the rights of people. But we are ignorant if we pretend that we haven’t cheated every step of the way. We need to protect the people from those who would try to bend our sacred rights to fulfill their own sense of oppression.
